Gerdau Institute
The Gerdau Institute is responsible for Gerdau's social responsibility policies and guidelines, as well as for the development of initiatives related to this theme in all its areas of activity.
Gerdau's social action strategy is based on "Empowering people who build the future through Entrepreneurship".
Entrepreneurship is the force that empowers people to become protagonists in building the future. It awakens, channels and boosts the capacity of people committed to social transformation.
The activities of the Gerdau Institute are focused on stimulating, training and enhancing entrepreneurship for social transformation in the areas of Education, Housing and Recycling.

Gerdau joined forces with TETO, in order to support the construction of emergency homes in communities in need. In five years of partnership, Gerdau has already donated more than 18 tons of nails for the construction of two thousand houses, benefiting families in 87 communities around the country. In addition to donating materials, employees have volunteered work in the construction of houses in some of these projects. |

JA Startup, a Junior Achievement project in partnership with StartSe and Gerdau, aims to transform the classroom into a startup incubator to develop the entrepreneurial mindset present in the new economy. As a result, young people created their startups and presented to a board formed by local agents from the startup ecosystem. |
